BEWARE: Big Oil and PG&E are attacking me because they know I fight for you!

After a lifetime protecting consumers from corporate misconduct, I thought nothing could shock me. Then they attacked me for working to keep our schools safe from mass shootings.

They just spent thousands on a mailer designed to mislead voters, falsely accusing me of giving  “weapons of war to local police.”

This is a bald-faced lie.

  • I voted with a unanimous College Board to comply with a state law — passed by Democrats and signed by Governor Newsom — requiring police equipment TRANSPARENCY *
  • The “military equipment” includes shoebox-sized mini-drones and standard patrol firearms. No tanks. No armored vehicles. **
  • These resolutions exist in virtually every city ***

Under my leadership, our College District includes a behavioral health professional for all calls. More de-escalation, less violence, and people in crisis getting the help they need.

As your State Senator, I’ll always stand with protecting our families, our kids and our schools.

These special interest attacks are dishonest, disgraceful, and dangerous. I call on my fellow candidates to disavow them.

If this enrages you as much as it does me — fight back with a donation or add your name.

Anne on the Issues

Corporate Accountability, Community Health

“I’ve spent a lifetime fighting for the rights of our most vulnerable: our children, seniors and victims of elder abuse, and women who don’t have access to a range of healthcare services. As State Senator, I’ll continue to protect their safety nets while protecting/ expanding our clean air, water, disaster preparedness, and neighborhood policing programs.”

Job Creation

“I’ll take my track record expanding skilled trades jobs, apprentice and training programs statewide to continue putting people to work in well-paying union jobs in today’s tough economy.”

Housing Affordability

“Home ownership should be achievable for anyone with that dream. Expanding housing that our teachers, first responders and working families can afford is a top priority. In the East Bay/South Bay regions, we cannot turn our backs on faculty and students who are housing insecure. I’ll fight to expand transitional housing options for anyone who needs it.”
